We are a group of dog enthusiasts who have been training and competing with our dogs in a wide range of canine activities since 1948. We are a not-for-profit organization based in West Concord, Massachusetts but our membership and activities reach throughout Massachusetts and the neighboring New England states. We are a member of the American Kennel Club and support its efforts to promote responsible dog ownership and advance canine welfare. We are also a member of the Massachusetts Federation of Dog Clubs and Responsible Dog Owners (aka "MassFed") and support its work to protect the rights of responsible citizens.
Events As a service to the community hold formal and informal training classes in puppy kindergarten, conformation (dog show) handling, pet and competitive obedience, rally obedience, canine freestyle weekly at our "club house" (training facility) at 20 Beharrell Street in West Concord. We organize one or two AKC-sanctioned Obedience Trials each year and also sponsor AKC-licensed Tracking Dog and Tracking Dog Excellent tests.
Governance The club is run by an all-volunteer governing board. The board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and five directors. Board meetings are generally held the first week of the month; the day can vary from month-to-month. Elections are held at our annual meeting in November. See the Board sub-page for our current board members.
